The Model by section tool starts a project which is used to create a 3D model from a template. It uses a template fitted to cross sections of the feature to be modeled. As the section moves through the model, the template is adjusted to fit. At the end of the modeling, the template sections are processed to produce a 3D model ; either linestrings, lofted surfaces or copies of the template.
